Resident Life
Residents live in a home-like atmosphere where everyone shares in the work assignments. This includes Bible study, character development, involvement in the ministry, church services and time for recreation. Residents typically work five days a week on the ministry's lawn care and handyman business. Also, each week residents are expected to be completing workbooks provided by the ministry that are required to graduate from the program. All meals are provided by the ministry and there is no cost for residents unless they begin working at a job outside the ministry.
Four Basic Principles
1. There is hope for a person with life controlling problems.
2. Sin (not drugs, alcohol, depression etc.) is the major root problem.
3. The only cure for sin and its symptoms is Jesus Christ.
4. Jesus Christ, living within a person, takes the desire for sin
out of that person's life.
Shelter and Transitional Housing
For those who choose to stay long-term, the program is much like as described above. However, Promise Land Ministries Lighthouse welcomes anyone seeking shelter or transitional housing for any length of time.

Lawn Care and Handyman Service
Every first Wednesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 p.m., we open our food bank to needy individuals in the community. We are an equal opportunity provider, no appointment or referral is necessary to receive food, and we give on a first come first serve basis.
We provide professional quality lawn care and handyman services to our community. All services are performed for donations, and we serve commercial and residential properties alike. Some examples of typical services provided are:
- lawn mowing
- weed eating
- edging
- leaf blowing
- tree trimming
- hedging
- pressure washing
- minor construction repairs
- home maintenance
- and many other services. Just ask!
